Say No to alcohol abuse

On Friday, our Social Worker Noko and group of COPESSA volunteers went to Reasoma Secondary School in Protea North for a school dialogue about alcohol abuse that was organised together with the Soul City Institute for Social Justice. Facilitator Veli did a good job motivating the kids. It was great to hear what the grade 10 learners discussed about topics like the effects of alcohol adverts, the legal age for consuming alcoholic beverages, youth in taverns and the link between teenage pregnancy and alcohol. They had a lot to say and there is much more to the topic which is why we are hoping to continue the conversation soon!
